Screen Scales

This is where I will attempt to organize some of the projects that I work on and share some information about them. I hope the information and tools you find here will be helpful to you. You may even find a random useful program or utility that gets created. If you have an idea for a project that you would like to share, please feel free to send it my way and I will see what I can do to help out or develop a solution for you and the community.

    Thank you, thank you, thank you…! I will use this app a lot. I refuse to pay what the “Protractor” guys want for such a “One-Note” app. I’m an acoustic designer that must often work from non-scaled PDF’s supplied by either the client or (God forbid) an interior designer. To start working on a proposal from this type of document is difficult – I need to pre-viz a drawing quickly before redrawing and rendering in a CAD app (I won’t take the time to do a real drawing until I have the contract).

    Now that I’ve downloaded it, now that I’ve got it, I’ve got to suggest that you sell the code to Adobe and suggest that they put it into Acrobat Professional. I have v8.1.6 and I love it – but it will only measure angles in it’s 3D realm – not in a 2D plan view. It would be a great addition to a great program. Hey you might even get rich. You deserve it. All the best. Peter Harper.

    @Peter Harper
    Thanks for the kind words. I am glad you have a real-world use for the application and will find it useful.

    My favorite feature of the whole application is probably the custom scale. It allows people to measure things like photos where they may have a known distance on something and from that you can measure to a relative accuracy other distances. It sounds like this feature will help you a lot with your unscaled PDFs.

    If you think of anything that you “wish” it could do, by all means let us know. We can definitely update it with new features.
