Welcome to LittleArea.com!

My name is Wayne McMahon and I am creating this blog to help organize some of my random thoughts and projects. Much of the content on this blog will be about programming, mostly Flash, Flex, AIR and PHP projects.

A little background about myself. I am 26 and have been married to my wonderful wife for 4 years. We have an adorable daughter who turned 1 in March.

I have been programming for about 12 years now with various different languages. Most of my experience has been self-taught, though I do have about two years worth of college credits in a few different IT categories. Most recently I have been working with web based languages including PHP and Flash/AS3.

I work at my full-time job where I manage documentation for a large facility. It isn’t my dream job, but it pays the house payment and I enjoy the people that work with. In my spare time I dream up random different programming projects and start working on them. One of my problems is that I will get about half way through them and decide all of the challenging aspects have been completed and that is where the project stops. My hope is with this blog to share information about some of the development of the projects and share the finished product. Hopefully this will drive me to complete the projects more than half way.
